Kovozávody Prostějov 1/72 Grumman G-44 "Widgeon" (Hi-Tech) is a plastic model of an American light amphibious aircraft. The HI-TECH edition includes spray masks and decals for 3 versions. Paints and adhesives are not included.
The Grumman G-44 Widgeon was developed in the late 1930s as a smaller and more affordable alternative to the successful Goose type, designed primarily for the civilian market and private users. With its retractable landing gear, it could operate from both water surfaces and fixed airfields. During World War II, this twin-engine upper stage was deployed by the US Navy and Coast Guard as a light transport, ambulance and anti-submarine aircraft. Some machines also served with the British Royal Navy and the Allied States. After the war, the Widgeon became popular in the civilian sector, especially in remote areas.
The Kovozávody Prostějov 1/72 scale kit offers a detailed rendition of this amphibious aircraft in a limited HI-TECH edition. Included are spray masks and decals for three different camouflage variants. The model is suitable for display cases and dioramas with water theme. The smaller scale makes it suitable for modelers with limited space.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
