1/72 Hampden TB Mk.I

The Handley Page Hampden TB Mk.I was built as a torpedo-carrying modification of the original Hampden bomber, which formed one of the pillars of Bomber Command at the beginning of World War II. The TB Mk.I version was deployed primarily with Coastal Command units, where it specialized in attacks against ships in the North Sea, off the Norwegian coast and later in the Atlantic area. With a slim hull, good range and the ability to carry an aerial torpedo, the Hampden became an important type in navalRAF strike operations, although its service was demanding and often took place in extreme conditions.

The Prostějov 1/72 scale kit depicts the specific appearance of the torpedo-carrying version of the TB Mk.I, including the modified nose, characteristic glazing and the possibility of installing a suspended torpedo. The fine surface panelling, clean mouldings and detailed cabin and undercarriage parts allow for the construction of a faithful miniature of a machine that played a significant role in RAF naval warfare. The model is suitable for both stand-alone displays and dioramas themed around coastal operations and attacks against naval targets.

The package does not include the paints or glues needed for assembly.
