1/72 US F-106A Delta Dart
Trumpeter 1/72 F-106A Delta Dart is a plastic kit of the American interceptor. The decals cover three USAF aircraft, including one from the Michigan Air National Guard. Paints and glue are not included.
The Convair F-106 Delta Dart was a single-seat supersonic delta-wing interceptor built for all-weather air defence of the United States. It carried its armament in an internal weapons bay to keep the airframe clean, and it remained in service until the late 1980s.
According to the manufacturer the kit has over 120 parts, a clear canopy and a fuselage and wings with engraved panel lines. Drop tanks and weapons are included. The decals cover three options: an aircraft of the 460th Fighter Interceptor Squadron in 1972, a 171st FIS Michigan ANG machine from Selfridge, and 57-0232.
The finished model is around 300 mm long according to the manufacturer, and its slender delta silhouette stands out in any Cold War collection. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
