1/144 R.A.F VULCAN K.2 Tanker

The Avro Vulcan K.2 was a modified version of the Vulcan B.2 strategic bomber, which was part of the British V-bombers designed for nuclear deterrence during the Cold War. After retirement from bombing missions, some aircraft were converted to tankers to support RAF operations, including the Falklands War in 1982.

As an aerial tanker, the Vulcan K.2 was fitted with a Hose Drum Unit (HDU) refuelling system, which allowed in-flight refuelling for RAF fighter aircraft and bombers.

GWH 's 1/144 scale Vulcan K.2 Tanker kit offers modelers the opportunity to build a detailed replica of this iconic aircraft. The package includes plastic parts with a precision-machined cockpit, landing gear shafts and refueling system.

The kit includes decals for several versions of RAF camouflage, including the machines deployed during Operation Black Buck in 1982.

The high level of detail and precision craftsmanship make this model ideal for modellers with an interest in British strategic air power during the Cold War. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
