RCsubs SKU-061 is a photo-etched set of front and rear torpedo systems in 1:144 scale for Revell Type VIIC, VIIC/41, and VIID submarines.
The set reproduces the design of the torpedo tubes at the bow and stern and includes variant photo-etched parts for individual submarine types. It is compatible with Revell kits 05675, 05100, 05038, and 05009; select the correct variant according to the RCsubs instructions.
Recommended Procedure
- Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and gently clean up the contact points.
- Before removing the plastic, compare each step with the RCsubs instructions and repeatedly test-fit the parts.
- Create bends gradually using tweezers or an etching bender; adjust larger shaped parts to the hull slowly and without snapping them.
- Glue the parts together using a small amount of cyanoacrylate adhesive. Before painting, degrease the surface and apply a thin coat of primer.
