1/16 Spartan Hoplite. V CENTURY B.C. - Miniart
The MiniArt 1/16 Spartan Hoplite, V Century B.C. is a plastic figure kit of a Spartan hoplite of the 5th century BC. The kit has 49 parts, including a base and shield decals.
Hoplites were the heavily armed citizen soldiers of the Greek city-states, fighting in the close-ordered phalanx. In the 5th century BC Spartan hoplites were protected by a large round shield, bronze helmet, cuirass and greaves.
Part of the Historical Figures Series, the figure has 49 parts. It shows the hoplite with a tall crested helmet, cuirass, greaves, shield and sword. A base and decals with two shield designs – the letter lambda and an ornament – are included.
The large 1/16 scale leaves plenty of room for painting musculature, bronze surfaces and colourful fabric. Paints and glues required for assembly are not included.
Nationality: Greece. Period: Before 1914.
