Trumpeter 1/24 Spitfire Mk.VI represents the World War II high-altitude fighter variant. Catalogue number 02413 is the Mk.VI release. It uses a Mk.Vb base with extended wingtips and a four-blade propeller; the cockpit sealing details and canopy do not fully represent the Mk.VI and require modification for an accurate version.
The box provides an engine, open gun compartments, clear cowling sides, instrument film, photo-etched hinges and three resin pilot figures. Decals offer British aircraft BR579 ON-H of No. 124 Squadron in July 1942 or AB534 associated with Eagle Squadron. This large project provides scope to display the engine and gun bays. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
Nationality: United Kingdom. Period: World War II.
