1/32 Hawker Tempest Mk.II HI-TECH

Hawker Tempest Mk.II HI-TECH in 1/32 scale by Special Hobby depicts a special variant of the British fighter aircraft that was developed to increase reliability and combat effectiveness in tropical conditions. The Tempest Mk.II was fitted with a Bristol Centaurus radial engine, which eliminated the liquid cooling problems of the Napier Sabre engine in the Mk.V version and improved the overall durability of the aircraft.

The aircraft was originally intended to fight against Japan as part of Operation Downfall, the planned invasion of the Japanese islands. However, due to the end of the war in the Pacific, it did not enter combat and was deployed primarily in India and other British colonies, where it served as a fighter and attack aircraft. It was later used by the RAF and other air forces, for example in Pakistan. The Tempest Mk.II retained the high speed and manoeuvrability of its predecessor, while its new engine improved its endurance and reliability in extreme conditions.
