1/35 B-Type London Omnibus (1919) - Miniart
The 1/35th scale model of the B-Type London Omnibus (1919) is a legendary London double-decker bus from the post-World War I era. Detail includes interior, engine and period advertising lettering. The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
The B-Type was one of the world's first mass-produced motor buses and became a symbol of London's early 20th century public transport. It entered service before the First World War, but remained in service in large numbers after the end of the war in 1918. The 1919 version depicted in this kit served a purely civilian purpose - the cars were refurbished from wartime service and re-entered city service. Despite its simple design, the B-Type was reliable and popular with passengers and drivers alike. It was characterised by its open top deck, rigid bodywork and striking rear spiral staircase.
MiniArt's 1/35th scale kit faithfully captures the look of the post-war civilian bus, including all the key details - from the realisticinterior and open upper deck to the elaborate engine, control station and imaginative period advertising banners. The model also includes decals featuring London's city routes and advertisements, highlighting the atmosphere of inter-war London. The detailed construction of the wheels, ribbed sheet metal bodywork and metal frame allows for a realistic build that will fit well in city dioramas as well as a stand-alone collector's model.
The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
