The Battle of the Bulge, known as the Battle of the Bulge, was Nazi Germany's last major offensive on the Western Front. It took place in December 1944 and January 1945 in the snowy Belgian and Luxembourg borderlands. The fierce fighting took place in harsh winter conditions, pitting seasoned Wehrmacht veterans against young American soldiers often in incomplete equipment.
