Throughout World War II, the German Army used various improvised means to maintain supplies and care for troops even in difficult terrain. One such example was the conversion of an RSO (Raupenschlepper Ost) light tracked tractor into a mobile field kitchen. This field kitchen, mounted on the chassis of the RSO vehicle, enabled the provision of hot food even on the front lineon the front lines in difficult terrain and adverse conditions, especially on the eastern front.
