1/35 Fl 282 V-16 Kolibri - Miniart
MiniArt's 1/35 Fl 282 V-16 Kolibri is a German experimental reconnaissance helicopter from the end of WWII in post-war Soviet markings. The kit features detailed plastic parts and a realistic rendition of one of the first mass-produced helicopters. Package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Flettner Fl 282 "Kolibri" was a light single-seat helicopter with contra-rotating rotors, developed in Germany during World War II for reconnaissance and observation purposes. It was an extremely advanced project of its time, which went down in history as the first mass-produced helicopter capable of operating from both naval and land bases. After the war, several examples fell into the hands of the Allied forces, including the Soviet Union, where they were studied as part of the post-war development of rotorcraft.
The MiniArt 1/35 Fl 282 V-16 Kolibri kit brings a model of this machine in post-war Soviet markings, as shown on the boxart. It offers a high level of detail including a realistic rotor system, exposed engine and finely crafted fuselage. The model allows the creation of a unique likeness of one of the captured machines that the Soviets tested after 1945.
The kit includes photo-etched parts and decals for the machine in Soviet markings. The kit is ideal for advanced modellers with an interest in lesser known types and post-war history.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
