1/35 German 7,5cm Pak40 AT gun
Border Model 1/35 German 75 mm Anti-Tank Gun PaK 40 is a detailed 1/35th scale model of the famous German anti-tank gun. Introduced in 1942, the PaK 40 became the basic anti-tank weapon of the Wehrmacht and was deployed on all fronts of World War II. The kit offers a realistic design of the gun with fine details, ideal for solo display and dioramas.
The PaK 40 (Panzerabwehrkanone 40) anti-tank gun was developed by Rheinmetall-Borsig in response to the increasingly well-armored Soviet and Allied armored vehicles. It was introduced into service with the German Army in 1942 and quickly became the Wehrmacht’s primary anti-tank weapon. With its 75 mm caliber and high muzzle velocity, it was capable of penetrating the armor of most Allied tanks of the time, including the T-34 and KV-1.
The PaK 40 was characterized by its robust construction, dual wheels with tires, and a low profile, which facilitated camouflage in the terrain. It was deployed on both the Eastern and Western Fronts, as well as in North Africa, and became one of the most widely used artillery weapons of the German army. By the end of the war, more than 23,000 units had been produced, and the gun became a symbol of German anti-tank defense. Its effectiveness endured even after 1945, when it was used by some smaller armies.
The Border Model 1/35 scale kit features a detailed reproduction of the PaK 40, including the chassis, shield, and barrel, all with finely crafted details. The model is suitable for building as a standalone display piece or for inclusion in dioramas featuring German World War II military equipment.
The package does not include the paints or adhesives needed for assembly.
