1/35 Machine gun MG 34 – tank version
Plus Model 1/35 Machine gun MG 34 - tank version is a 1/35th scale set featuring the tank version of the German MG 34 machine gun. This version was mounted in brackets on vehicles and often installed on the hatches of tanks and armoured vehicles.
The MG 34 machine gun was one of the most widely used weapons of the Wehrmacht and became the first universal machine gun in the world. In addition to the infantry variant, there were several versions adapted for use in armoured vehicles. The tank MG 34 differed from the infantry version mainly by design modifications for mounting in ball and frontal traps or in hatch mounts. In some cases, a standard infantry variant with a stock mounted in a special holder at the commander's hatch was also used.
The Plus Model 1/35th scale kit provides a realistic rendition of just such a variant of the MG 34 as often appeared on German tanks and armoured vehicles. The fine detailing makes it an ideal addition to WWII German equipment models and replaces the simpler plastic parts from the kits.
