1/35 Merkava Mk.2 w/ Full Interior & Workable Tracks
Brand: Border Model

The Merkava represents a unique Israeli approach to the development of main battle tanks. Its design, which began in the 1970s, placed the utmost emphasis on crew protection—the engine was located at the front, thereby increasing safety, and space was created in the rear that could be used to transport troops or the wounded. The first version, the Merkava Mk.1, entered service in 1979 and quickly earned a reputation as a durable and reliable vehicle.

The Merkava Mk.2, which appeared in 1983, introduced a number of improvements. The tank received reinforced ballistic protection, new reactive armor blocks, an improved fire control system, and enhanced equipment for urban combat. The Mk.2 became a key vehicle for the Israeli Army during the conflicts in Lebanon, where it proved its durability and the effectiveness of its 105mm cannon.

The Border Model 1/35 scale kit features a fully detailed tank interior, from the engine compartment through the fighting compartment to the ammunition storage. It also includes movable tracks, a meticulously detailed chassis, and fine details of the armament and equipment. The model provides a unique opportunity to explore the design of the Merkava Mk.2 tank and create an exceptionally realistic replica that will be the centerpiece of any collection of modern military equipment.

The package does not include the paints or adhesives needed for assembly.
