Border Model 1/35 Möbelwagen 3.7cm Flak auf Fgst. Pz.Kpfw. IV (Sf) is a model of a German self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle from the end of World War II, developed on a Panzer IV tank chassis. The vehicle carried a 37mm Flak 43 gun protected by folding armour plates. The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
Möbelwagen, officially referred to as the 3.7cm Flak auf Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen IV (Sf), was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle developed in 1943 as a makeshift solution against the ever-increasing Allied air superiority. Its design was based on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank, on which was mounted an open platform with a 37mm Flak 43 gun. It was capable of effectively engaging low-flying aircraft as well as lightly armoured ground targets.
A distinctive feature of the Möbelwagen was the folding armour plates, which could be in the upright position to protect the crew or lowered for free fire guidance. Although it was a transitional solution, the Möbelwagen became part of the armament of Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS anti-aircraft units and was deployed on both the Western and Eastern fronts.
