The Panzer IV was the most widely used German medium tank of World War II. The Ausf. G-Last and H-Early from the spring/summer of 1943 depicts the transition between the variants - the vehicles produced at the Nibelungenwerk plant showed features of both series. These tanks had reinforced armour, a longer KwK 40 L/48 gun and modifications to facilitate production. They were deployed during the fighting on the Eastern Front and in Italy.
