1/35 StuG III Ausf. G Early Production Version
Model 1/35 StuG III Ausf. G Early Production represents an early production version of the German WWII Sturmgeschütz III assault gun. Built on a Panzer III tank chassis, the StuG III became one of the Wehrmacht's most widely used armoured guns and served primarily as an anti-tank weapon. This kit offers a detailed treatment of the early Ausf. G, which was deployed on both the Eastern and Western fronts.
The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) was developed as an infantry support vehicle based on the Panzer III tank chassis. The first versions were armed with a short-barreled 75 mm cannon and designed to destroy fortifications. As the war progressed, however, the vehicle quickly evolved into an effective anti-tank weapon, particularly after the introduction of the long-barreled StuK 40 L/48 cannon. Thanks to its low profile, powerful armament, and relatively low production costs, the StuG III became the most widespread armored vehicle in the German army, with more than 10,000 units produced.
The Ausf. G version, which entered production in 1942, was the most widely produced and deployed variant. Early production models featured a characteristic low superstructure without the later armor modifications and differed in details regarding ventilation and armament. These vehicles were extensively deployed on the Eastern Front during battles against Soviet armored units, as well as in North Africa and later on the Western Front.
This 1/35 scale kit offers a detailed representation of the early StuG III Ausf. G variant with realistic rendering of the hull, chassis, and armament. Thanks to its wealth of fine details, it allows you to build an authentic replica of one of the most important armored vehicles of World War II.
The package does not include the paints or adhesives needed for assembly.
