1/35 StuH 42 Ausf.G Early Production With Full Interior
Border Model 1/35 StuH 42 Ausf.G Early Production With Full Interior is a model of an early version of the German WWII Sturmhaubitz 42 self-propelled howitzer. The kit offers a detailed interior including engine compartment, fighting compartment and armament. Package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Sturmhaubitze 42 (StuH 42) was developed based on the proven chassis of the StuG III assault gun, which was one of the most widely produced armored vehicles of the German Army during World War II. The need for effective infantry support led to the installation of a 105mm leFH 18 howitzer in a modified vehicle superstructure, resulting in the StuH 42. The early production series appeared in 1942 and was deployed primarily on the Eastern Front, where it was able to effectively destroy fortified positions and provide direct fire support.
The Ausf. G version was the most widespread variant, differing from earlier series in its reinforced armor and a number of design modifications. Early production vehicles were equipped with a standard short-barreled howitzer and initially lacked some later improvements, such as additional armor or remotely controlled weapons.
The Border Model 1/35 scale kit offers a precisely crafted model of this self-propelled gun in its early production version. Thanks to the fully rendered interior, modelers can examine the detailed design of the engine compartment, the fighting compartment, and the interior fittings. Finely engraved surface details, a realistically rendered gun, and high-quality craftsmanship make this model an attractive choice both for standalone displays and for dioramas depicting World War II battle scenes.
The package does not include the paints or adhesives needed for assembly.
