Hobby Boss 1/350 USS Hawaii CB-3 is a plastic kit of a ship for assembly. Hawaii was the unfinished third ship of the Alaska class. It was never completed or commissioned; the model therefore represents the intended completed appearance of the large cruiser, not a vessel in documented combat service.
The plastic components are arranged on 17 sprues plus separate hull, deck and stand parts. Five photo-etched frets and a metal anchor chain add the finer details. The deck has moulded plank texture; two SC-1 shipboard aircraft and a stand with nameplate are included. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
