ASK 1/48 A5M Claude: a 3D-printed early-type pilot seat without starting handle. A single part for the cockpit of the Mitsubishi A5M Japanese carrier fighter.
The 1/48 ASK seat has a smooth shell without lightening holes, with rows of rivets, belt attachment points on the back and pan and fittings at the rear. The starting handle stowed on the side of another variant of this seat is absent here. Seat belts are not included.
The Mitsubishi A5M was the Japanese Navy's first monoplane carrier fighter; it served from the late 1930s, including over China, and was given the Allied code name Claude. The seat is easy to see on a finished model, and 3D printing gives it a finer shape than the kit part.
