1/48 A6M zero wheels late - Miryoku
Miryoku A6M Zero Wheels, Late Version are detailed 3D-printed wheels for the Mitsubishi A6M Zero in 1:48 scale. The set includes two 3D-printed main wheels in the late version and masks for easy painting.
The Miryoku A6M Zero wheels (late version) replace the kit wheels for the 1:48-scale Mitsubishi A6M Zero model. These are the late-production main wheels; therefore, the set helps maintain the correct appearance of the landing gear for the selected aircraft variant.
Set Contents and Design
- Contents: two complete main landing gear wheels printed on a 3D printer and masks for precisely separating the tire from the rim during painting
- Technology: 3D printing with fine detail on the tread and rim structure
- Painting masks: included in the package; facilitate clean separation of the tire and rim paint
Recommended Workflow
- Before separating and modifying the wheels, compare them with the kit parts and verify that you have the correct variant based on your chosen reference model.
- Carefully remove the 3D printing support structures, smooth the contact points with light sanding, and dry-fit the parts.
- Degrease the surface and apply a thin layer of primer suitable for 3D printing.
- First, paint one side of the wheel; once dry, use the included masks and apply the second color. Before spraying, press the masks firmly around the rim’s circumference.
- Secure the wheels with cyanoacrylate adhesive; standard polystyrene glue will not bond 3D-printed material.
Note: The basic plastic model kit is not included in the package. To complete the model , use model paints, primers, and adhesives suitable for 3D-printed parts.
