1/48 Buccaneer S.2B one-sided express fit mask for Airfix
ASK masks for the Airfix Buccaneer S.2B in 1/48 scale come as a one-sided Express Fit set. Masks 1–13 cover the cockpit glazing from the outside, and ring-shaped masks with G references complete the sheet.
ASK drew up these masks itself, directly for the parts of the Airfix Buccaneer S.2B kit in 1/48 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M48231 from the SCALE MASK range carries masks 1–13 – triangular and shaped pane masks (4, 5, 10–13), outline strips 6–9 and smaller masks 1–3 – and a column of ring-shaped masks marked G21, G22, G41, G42 and G43. The one-sided layout covers the outer face of the glazing of the Airfix kit in 1/48 scale.
The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British carrier-capable attack aircraft of the 1950s designed for low-level strikes. The S.2B was built for the RAF with RAF communications and avionics and the ability to carry Martel missiles; 46 new aircraft were built between 1973 and 1977, and some earlier S.2As were later brought up to this standard.
