1/48 F-5A Recon Lightning Conversion Set
The F-5A Recon Lightning Conversion Set is a 1/48-scale resin conversion set from CMK.
Reconnaissance versions, designated F-4 and F-5, were produced based on the P-38 Lightning fighter. These were among the best reconnaissance aircraft of World War II. The F-5A version was produced based on the P-38G. We have prepared a conversion set for this version to accompany the new Tamiya model. The conversion set includes resin parts for the new nose section and clear parts cast from a special, oven-cured clear resin. The conversion kit also includes masks for the clear parts and decals. These offer two very attractive aircraft. The American aircraft, which flew in Europe and was adorned with a jagged snout, lettering, and pin-up girl illustrations, is very eye-catching in color. The French aircraft is not as colorful, but among the pilots who flew it was the famous aviator and writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The conversion set for the P-38F/G Lightning reconnaissance version / Tamiya No. 61120 contains resin parts, clear resin parts, decals, and masking films—1 set of USAAF decals and 1 set of FAFL decals.
This is an add-on set; the plastic kit, paints, and glue are not included unless specifically stated by the manufacturer.
