1/48 F4U-5 recommended for Hasegawa

The Vought F4U Corsair is one of the most famous fighter aircraft of the US Navy and Marine Corps from World War II and the Korean War. The F4U-5 version was one of the later improvements to the basic type, introduced in 1945 with a more powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine and improved armament. The Corsair was famous for its distinctive inverted gull wing, which allowed the use of a large propeller while maintaining a compact undercarriage suitable for operation from aircraft carriers. The F4U-5 saw active service during the Korean War, where it proved its worth both as a fighter and in attacks on ground targets.

The Yahu Model kit includes a color-printed etched dashboard designed for Hasegawa 1:48 scale kits.
