1/48 Fieseler Fi 156 Storch part 1
ASK 1/48 Fieseler Fi 156 Storch part 1 is a decal sheet with seven marking options, including the aircraft used in the Gran Sasso rescue of Mussolini (1943), a Legion Condor Storch and a Swiss machine.
This 1/48 ASK decal sheet provides seven marking options for the Fieseler Storch liaison aircraft. Four are illustrated: Fi 156C W.Nr. 5061 from the Balkan campaign in Greece (April 1941), a Swiss Air Force Fi 156C (June 1943), SJ+LL used in Otto Skorzeny's rescue of Benito Mussolini at Gran Sasso on 12 September 1943, and a Legion Condor Fi 156 in Spain (1938). The other three are a Fi 156C of 1.(F)/120 on the Eastern Front (c. 1943), a Fi 156C of 2./NAGr. 2 in Poland (summer 1944) and a post-war French-built Morane-Saulnier MS.500 Criquet (c/n 2027) of the Spanish Air Force.
The Fi 156 Storch first flew in 1936 and, thanks to its exceptionally short take-off and landing, served as a liaison, reconnaissance and ambulance aircraft; in France it remained in production after the war as the MS.500 Criquet. The series continues with part 2 (200-D48074). If necessary, the decal carrier varnish can be removed by washing it off with Zippo lighter fluid.
