1/48 FM-1 one-sided express fit mask for Eduard
ASK masks for the Eduard FM-1 Wildcat in 1/48 scale come as a one-sided Express Fit set. Numbered masks cover the cockpit glazing from the outside, and the set also includes four ring-shaped masks.
This is an in-house ASK design, drawn directly from the clear parts of the Eduard FM-1 Wildcat kit in 1/48 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M48215 from the SCALE MASK range carries shaped masks with lower numbers, eight rectangular pane masks 10–17, two rounded masks 19, small circular masks 18 and 20 and four ring-shaped masks numbered 21. The one-sided layout is intended for the outer face of the glazing of the Eduard kit in 1/48 scale.
The FM-1 was a Grumman F4F Wildcat built by the Eastern Aircraft Division of General Motors after Grumman switched to the F6F Hellcat in early 1943. It matched the F4F-4 but carried only four machine guns and gained wing racks for two bombs or six rockets.
