Hobby Boss 1/48 FM-2 Wildcat is a plastic kit of an aircraft for assembly. The FM-2 differs from earlier Wildcats chiefly through its taller fin, associated with the prototype’s more powerful engine. It served mainly aboard escort carriers, including Atlantic anti-submarine operations.
The box contains 80 parts, including seven clear components, basic engine detail and optional cowling. Markings depict VC-36 aboard USS Core in 1944 and VC-10 aboard USS Gambier Bay in October 1944. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
