The Eduard Hunter F.4/F.5 Cockpit Restraint Straps STEEL 1/48 is a pre-painted photo-etched set in 1/48 scale for the AIRFIX kit. The set is designed to replace the cockpit restraint straps with fine metal parts. It is dimensionally designed for the specified kit; compatibility with other kits is not guaranteed.
The fine metal parts replace or supplement selected plastic details that cannot be accurately reproduced with the same thickness and sharpness using standard injection molding. The colored parts are pre-printed at the factory.
Working with photo-etched parts
- Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface
- Fold the parts according to the instructions and test-fit everything before gluing
- Glue the metal parts with a thin layer of cyanoacrylate adhesive
- Before painting, degrease unpainted parts and apply a primer for metal
The plastic model kit is not included in the package. To complete the model, select suitable model glue and paints.
