1/48 MiG-29UB Polish Air Force
Hobby 2000 1/48 MiG-29UB Polish Air Force presents a two-seat training version of the Soviet MiG-29 fighter aircraft in service of the Polish Air Force. This type is used for pilot training and limited combat tasks. The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29UB is a two-seat version of the MiG-29 fighter aircraft, designed for advanced and combat pilot training. Compared to the single-seat variants, it lacks an on-board radar, but retains the ability to use a cannon and short-range air-to-air missiles. The dual controls enable effective pilot training for full operational deployment.
Poland took delivery of its first MiG-29s, including UB trainer versions, in the 1990s after the collapse of the Warsaw Pact, and later added more aircraft from Germany and other countries to the fleet. The aircraft have undergone upgrades to their avionics and communications systems to meet NATO standards. Despite their age, they remain an important part of the Polish Air Force.
The 1/48 scale Hobby 2000 kit includes detailed plastic parts, authentic Polish Air Force decals and an accurate rendition of the two-seat version of the MiG-29UB. The model is suitable for modelers interested in modern fighter aircraft and air forces of NATO countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
