1/48 MQ-9 REAPER w/GBU-12

The MQ-9 Reaper is a MALE (Medium Altitude, Long Endurance) unmanned aerial vehicle developed by General Atomics as a successor to the well-known MQ-1 Predator. It entered service in 2007 and became the first US drone primarily designed for attack missions. The Reaper has a larger wingspan, higher payload capacity and more powerful engine than the Predator, allowing it to carry extensive weaponry including AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, JDAM bombs and laser-guided GBU-12 Paveway IIs.

The machine is equipped with sophisticated sensors, including electro-optical and infrared cameras, a laser designator and synthetic aperture radar. The MQ-9 has proven itself in combat operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and other conflict areas, performing both reconnaissance and combat missions. Its versatility has made it the backbone of the U.S. unmanned strike force and inspired other users around the world.
