One of the most successful Japanese aircraft of World War II was the twin-engine Ki-54 transport and trainer. The Nippon Kōkūki Kōgyō D-1 glider was built based on this aircraft to verify aerodynamic calculations. This glider kit includes resin parts, an injection-molded cockpit (from the Special Hobby SH72270 Ki-54 model), and decals featuring the markings of the only known flying example.
The resin parts require cleaning, test fitting, and gluing with a suitable adhesive. Paints, adhesive, and tools are not typically included in the package.
