Eduard 1/48 P-51B/C Mustang w/ dorsal fin & Birdcage canopy OVERTREES is a plastic kit of the American fighter. Sprues F, K, N, O, P, R and S only, no decals. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
The North American P-51B and P-51C were the first production Mustangs powered by the Packard-built Merlin; the B was built at Inglewood and the C at Dallas. Their original heavily framed canopy became known as the “birdcage”. This set represents aircraft fitted with the dorsal fin ahead of the fin.
The OVERTREES box consists of plastic sprues only – according to the label, sprues F, K, N, O, P, R and S from parts set 82100; decals, instructions, photo-etch and masks are not included. It suits modellers who want to build another P-51B/C with the dorsal fin and framed canopy in markings of their own choice. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
