Eduard 1/48 P-51B/C Mustang w/ dorsal fin & Malcolm Hood canopy OVERTREES is a plastic kit of the American fighter. Sprues F, L, N, O, P, R and S only, no decals. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
The British firm R. Malcolm Ltd. designed a bulged sliding canopy that gave P-51B and P-51C pilots a much better view to the sides and rear. The Malcolm hood was fitted to RAF aircraft, where these versions were known as the Mustang III, and in the field to many USAAF Mustangs as well. The sprues depict the version with the dorsal fin.
The box label lists sprues F, L, N, O, P, R and S from parts set 82100. There is nothing else in the package – without decals, instructions, photo-etch or masks it is the basis for a Mustang with the dorsal fin and Malcolm Hood in markings sourced by the modeller. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
