1/48 PBJ-1J Mitchell one-sided express fit mask for HK Models
ASK mask for the HK Models PBJ-1J Mitchell in 1/48 scale, in a one-sided Express Fit version. Two sheets of numbered masks cover the bomber’s multi-panel glazing from the outside.
The set was created as ASK's own design, made directly for the clear parts of the HK Models PBJ-1J Mitchell kit in 1/48 scale. Set ASK 200-M48302 from the SCALE MASK range consists of two sheets with masks numbered up to 98. Most are rectangular and trapezoid masks for the individual panes; the smaller sheet carries the shaped masks 47–56, the pair 48a and 48b and the oval masks 97 and 98. This is a one-sided set covering the outer surface of the panes.
PBJ-1J was the US Navy and US Marine Corps designation of the North American B-25J Mitchell. From March 1943 sixteen Marine squadrons received PBJs, and from 1944 they flew mainly radar-directed night strikes against enemy shipping. The double-sided version of the set is 200-M48303.
