1/48 Spitfire Mk.IXe OVERTREES
Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IXe OVERTREES is a plastic kit of the British fighter. Sprues A1, D, E1, F1 and G1 only, no decals or instructions. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
The “e” suffix on the Spitfire Mk.IX denotes the E-type wing, in which the two 20 mm Hispano cannons were paired with two .50 in Browning machine guns instead of the earlier four light machine guns. Spitfire Mk.IXe aircraft flew over Western Europe and the Mediterranean in the closing stages of the war and later served with other air forces too.
The label lists sprues A1, D, E1, F1 and G1 from parts set 8280 – compared with the Mk.IXc early set (8292X), sprue D replaces B. Decals, instructions, photo-etch and masks are not in the box. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
