Tiger Moth 1/48 recommended for AIRFIX
Eduard FE1073 Tiger Moth 1/48 is a pre-painted Zoom photo-etched set for the Airfix kit. It provides colour instrument panels for both cockpits, seatbelts for both seats and small interior details.
The FE1073 Zoom set refines both open cockpits of the de Havilland Tiger Moth trainer biplane in the 1/48 Airfix kit. The pre-painted parts cover instrument panels with printed dials and harnesses for the student and instructor seats, while unpainted photo-etch adds small interior items. Unlike a full photo-etched set, a Zoom set focuses on the cockpit only.
In the 1930s and 1940s the Tiger Moth was the standard primary trainer of the RAF and Commonwealth air forces, on which thousands of pilots learned to fly. The open cockpits leave the equipment in plain view, so detail parts make a noticeable difference to the finished model. The plastic kit is not included.
