1/48 Typhoon I late recommended for Hasegawa-Italeri-Eduard
Yahu Model 1/48 Hawker Typhoon Mk.I is a 1:48 scale photo-etched instrument panel designed to enhance the cockpit detail of Eduard, Hasegawa and Italeri kits. The instrument decals are printed directly onto the photo-etch, allowing for realistic representation without the need to apply separate decals.
The Hawker Typhoon Mk.I was a British single-engine fighter aircraft that entered RAF service in the early 1940s. Originally intended as a high-performance fighter for high-altitude combat, in practice it found its main use at low and medium altitudes, where it proved particularly useful as a fighter-bomber and attack aircraft. The Typhoon became a feared weapon in attacks on ground targets - vehicle convoys, railway lines, fortifications and especially tanks. The Mk.I version was fitted with a 12-cylinder Napier Sabre engine and armed with four 20mm Hispano guns. The Typhoon's cockpit was functional but rather cramped, with the typical instrument layout of British fighter aircraft of the time.
Yahu Model's photo-etch instrument panel is an add-on for modelers who want to increase the level of cockpit detail without the need for intricate hand painting of individual instruments. The panel is made using the photo-etched technique and features a colorful print that displays dials, gauges and controls directly on the metal structure. This gives you a realistic look with a spatial effect and legibility that conventional decals or hand painting are difficult to achieve. The add-on is designed to be compatible with Hawker Typhoon Mk.I kits from Eduard, Hasegawa and Italeri in 1:48 scale.
