This 1/72 ASK decal sheet is devoted to the Aichi D3A1 Val (Model 11) aircraft that led the dive-bomber waves in the attack on Pearl Harbor:

D3A1, BI-231, crew Lt. Cdr. Takashige Egusa / WO Tatsu Ishii – second colour scheme
D3A1, BI-238, crew Lt. Cdr. Kakuichi Takahashi / Lt. (jg) Seizō Koizumi

Takahashi led the dive bombers of the first attack wave, Egusa those of the second. According to the sheet, Egusa had two different, unusually and colourfully painted D3As, so the set offers both options. The Aichi D3A was a carrier-based dive bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy, given the Allied code name Val. If necessary, the decal carrier varnish can be removed by washing it off with Zippo lighter fluid.
