1/72 B-25J Mitchell Solid Nose
Hobby 2000 72091 B-25J Mitchell Solid Nose 1/72 is a plastic kit of the American medium bomber. Solid gun-nose version with decals for three aircraft from the Pacific. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
The B-25J was the last production version and the most numerous variant of the North American B-25 Mitchell bomber. Besides the glazed bombardier’s nose, aircraft also received a solid nose with machine guns for low-level attacks on land and sea targets, which were especially typical of the Pacific war.
The Hobby 2000 kit in 1/72 scale represents the solid-nose version. The manufacturer’s painting guide lists decals for three aircraft from 1945: B-25J-27-NC 44-29771 of the 75th BS/42nd BG (Puerto Princesa, Philippines), B-25J-6-NC 43-27882 of the 820th BS/41st BG (Okinawa, August 1945) and B-25J-11-NC 43-28145 of the 71st BS/38th BG (Lingayen, Philippines).
The 1/72 scale is a popular choice for collections of twin-engined bombers, where both B-25J nose versions can be displayed side by side.
Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
Nationality: USA. Period: World War II.
