The Curtiss H-75, an export version of the American P-36 Hawk, was one of the first modern all-metal fighter aircraft with an enclosed cabin and retractable landing gear. The French Air Force ordered these machines as the H-75A-1 and H-75A-2, and used them in combat against the Luftwaffe during the Battle of France in 1940. Despite its slower speed compared to the German Bf 109E, the H-75 proved to be an excellent maneuverability and well-trained pilot.
Not only did the aircraft serve in France, but after the defeat some were taken over by Vichy France and operated in North Africa. Other pieces ended up in the hands of the Finnish Air Force, where they fought against Soviet machines on the Eastern Front.
The Arma Hobby 1/72 Curtiss H-75 A1/A2 kit features precision-machined plastic parts, a detailed cockpit with realistic controls, and decals for several authentic versions, including the French Air Force.
The high level of detail and historical accuracy make this model ideal for modelers interested in early WWII fighter aircraft and French military aviation.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
