IBG Models 72U016 is a 3D-printed detail set for Fw 190D-11/12/13 radiator with open flaps in 1:72 scale. It contains an annular radiator with fine mesh and separately depicted open cooling flaps and is designed for all IBG Models Fw 190D-11, D-12 and D-13 kits.
IBG Models 72U016 – Fw 190D-11/12/13 radiator with open flaps in 1:72 scale replaces the kit parts with more precisely defined 3D prints. The set contains an annular radiator with fine mesh and separately depicted open cooling flaps and is designed for all IBG Models Fw 190D-11, D-12 and D-13 kits. Fine fins, mesh and edges remain visible under a thin primer coat.

Recommended procedure
- Remove supports gradually with fine cutters and a knife to avoid damaging fins and thin edges.
- Test-fit the part and verify its orientation against the kit instructions.
- Degrease the surface and apply a very thin primer coat that will not fill the radiator texture.
- Emphasise the mesh depth with a thin wash and carefully highlight the edges with dry brushing.
- Fix the parts with a small amount of cyanoacrylate adhesive; polystyrene cement will not bond the 3D print.
Note: the plastic kit is not included.
Use model paints and primers and adhesives suitable for 3D-printed parts to finish the set.
