1/72 German WWII Horten Ho.XVIII A - Interkontinental Amerika-Bomber
Brand: Modelcollect

The Horten Ho.XVIII A was one of the designs of the Horten brothers, who became famous for their experiments with the design of flying wings. This project was developed as part of the "America Bomber" program, which aimed to create an aircraft capable of carrying bomb loads across the Atlantic to the United States. The flying wing design was to provide higher speed, lower radar visibility and long range, while the jet engines were to provide sufficient power for intercontinental missions.

The project never made it past the study stage and remained on the drawing boards, as did a number of other proposals under "Luft '46". Nevertheless, the Ho.XVIII A is an interesting testament to the ambitious plans of the German Air Force in the final years of the war and represents a hypothetical path that bomber development might have taken.

The 1/72 scale Modelcollect kit allows you to build a detailed model of this unique concept. It features distinctive flying wing shapes, precisely executed surface details and attractive theme that will appeal to modelers interested in experimental aviation and Luft '46 projects.

The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
