1/72 H04S-3/HAS.7/H-19

Italeri HO4S-3 / HAS.7 / H-19 1:72 represents the Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw, one of the early tactical transport helicopters of its era. The original design dates from the 1940s and entered service in the early 1950s. It was used by the U.S. Armed Forces during the Korean War and later saw wide adoption in many countries.

A distinctive H-19 layout

One of the defining features of the H-19 was its front-mounted engine. This was an unusual solution at the time and contributed to the helicopter’s stability and manoeuvrability. The aircraft was designed to carry troops and supplies, and the same airframe also formed the basis for other mission-specific versions, including maritime patrol and medical evacuation variants.
