1/72 L-159A Alca
KPM 1/72 L-159A Alca is a 1/72 scale model of Czech light combat aircraft. The L-159, produced by Aero Vodochody since the late 1990s, serves in the Czech Air Force as a multi-purpose machine for training and combat missions. The KPH edition kit includes decals, paint masks and 3D printed parts.
The Aero L-159 Alca light combat aircraft was created in the 1990s as a direct successor to the L-39 Albatros and was intended to ensure the modernisation of the Czech Air Force. It entered service in 2000 and became the basic type of the Czech tactical air force. Thanks to the Honeywell/ITEC F124-GA-100 engine and modern avionics, it is capable of performing a wide range of tasks - from advanced training to support of ground troops to reconnaissance and attack operations.
The L-159A version is a single-seat combat version. The aircraft of this variant participate in domestic and foreign exercises and their armament includes bombs, unguided missiles, guns and advanced cruise missiles. The Czech Republic is the main user, but some of the machines were later exported to Iraq or leased to the US company Draken International.
KPM's 1/72nd scale KPH edition kit offers detailed rendering of the L-159A and the box contains decals, paint masks and 3D printed parts to increase the level of detail and make building easier. These accessories make it possible to create an attractive replica of a contemporary Czech fighter aircraft.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
