Trumpeter 1/72 MiG-31BM with Kh-47M2 is a plastic kit of the Russian two-seat interceptor. This release includes the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missile together with its pylon. Paints and glue are not included.
The MiG-31 is a heavy twin-engined, two-seat interceptor developed from the earlier MiG-25. The upgraded MiG-31BM serves with the Russian Air Force, and this release pairs it with the large Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile carried under the fuselage.
According to the manufacturer the kit has over 210 parts. Besides the Kinzhal and its pylon it provides further stores and drop tanks, clear canopies for both cockpits and a fuselage and wings with engraved panel lines. Two decal sheets offer two Russian schemes (numbers 34 and 74), a set of numerals, stencils and instrument panel decals.
The finished model is about 315 mm long according to the manufacturer, so this big interceptor needs a fair amount of space even in 1/72. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
Nationality: Russia. Period: Present day.
