"Cow Towing a Me 163B with 2 Luftwaffe Ground Crew " is a 1/72-scale resin figure or set of figures from CMK.

Toward the end of World War II, the Third Reich’s fuel supply situation was dire. To conserve fuel, draft animals were used to move aircraft around airfields. This even applied to the most modern jet and rocket-powered aircraft, such as the Me 262 and Me 163. In 1945, it was therefore possible to witness a scene in which an Me 163 rocket-powered aircraft—which was likely the fastest combat aircraft in the world at the time—was being towed by an ordinary cow. This set features two Luftwaffe mechanics with a draft animal used to tow the Me-163B Komet aircraft across the airfield. (The figures were modeled after a period photograph. There is also a photograph showing a Bf 109G being towed in the same manner.) However, the cow can also be used in any other diorama where it fits. CATEGORY: Germany / WWII
