1/72 P-26 "Peashooter" International

The Boeing P-26 "Peashooter" was the first all-metal single-plane fighter aircraft of the US Army and was one of the pioneers of modern design in the interwar period. The open cockpit, rigid landing gear and slender fuselage represented a compromise between traditional biplanes and the emergingthe next generation of fighters, while the simplicity and reliability of the P-26 allowed it to be widely used not only in the U.S. but also abroad. Export examples made their way to China and the Philippines, where they played a role in the first engagements on the brink of World War II.
