1/72 RWD-13 "Romania"
RS Model 1/72 RWD-13 "Romania" is a 1/72 scale model of a Polish light sport and touring aircraft from the 1930s. Apart from Poland, the RWD-13 type also spread abroad, with Romania being an important user, where the machines served in both the civil and military spheres.
The RWD-13 was designed in the mid-1930s as a three-seat light touring and sport aircraft. Its simplicity, rugged construction and reliable engine made it popular with both aero clubs and private users. The aircraft was used for training, tourist flights and as a communication and utility machine.
By the outbreak of World War II, over 80 were produced, some of which were exported. One of the largest foreign users was Romania, where several dozen of these aircraft were delivered. They served not only in civilian service but also in the army, where they performed communication and courier tasks during the war. The Romanian RWD-13s thus represent an important, if lesser known, chapter in the history of this type.
The RS Model 1/72 scale kit presents a detailed rendition of the RWD-13 in Romanian colours. The model features attractive markings that show the Polish aircraft's operations outside its home country.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
