1/72 Spitfire Mk.Vb early OVERTREES

The Spitfire Mk.V with the Merlin 45 engine began equipping RAF fighter units from early 1941. The Mk.Vb carried the ‘b’ wing with two 20 mm Hispano cannon and four .303 in Browning machine guns. According to Eduard, the early aircraft represented by this kit had external armour glass in front of the windscreen and symmetrical bulges under the wings.

The OVERTREES edition contains only the plastic sprues of a specific Eduard kit – no decals, instructions, photo-etch or masks. It is sold for a limited time and is intended for modellers with their own markings or those who want to add another Spitfire from 1941–1942 to their collection.

In 1/72 scale the early Mk.Vb is a natural companion to the mid and late aircraft of the same version. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.

Nationality: United Kingdom. Period: World War II.
